The Oklahoma Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, and Bar Foundation worked tirelessly to host the 2006 competition. Thanks to the generous support of the Oklahoma Chapter of ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates) the Oklahoma State Supreme Court Chief Justice welcomed over 1,000 mock trial students, coaches, parents, State Coordinators, and local, state, and national volunteers to the Awards Banquet on Saturday night. We ended the 2006 season with presentation of individual and team awards to hundreds of exhausted yet excited members, all of them State Champions and the "best of the best"!
A "cadre" of 213 judges included state Supreme Court Justices, Federal District and Bankruptcy Judges, Criminal Appeals and Civil Appeals Judges, District Attorneys and Solicitors, Municipal Judges, Juvenile Court and Children's Court Judges, State Superior Court Judges, and many attorneys from the Oklahoma Bar Association and public and private practice. A special thank you to these dedicated professionals for maintaining the highest standards of high school mock trial competition.
