Goal 1:  Increase participation in Youth & Government programs with emphasis on geographic, economic, and ethnic diversity.

Objectives:

Goal 2:  Enhance the consistency and quality of local Mock Trial and Youth Legislature programs.

a.       At least four rounds of participation for each Mock Trial team at the district level by 2010.

b.      Conduct a regional needs assessment to determine the areas of program development and the plan for program expansion through focus groups, surveys and other methods by 07-08.

c.       Assess long-term sustainability issues associated with Mock Trial and Youth Legislature.

d.      Assess marketing and communication strategies that help promote growth.

GOAL 3:  INCREASE AND DIVERSIFY YOUTH & GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL RESOURCES

Objectives

a.       Develop an implementation plan for spending the 2007-09 $50,000 state fund appropriation that will fulfill legislative intent by demonstrating positive programmatic outcomes and fiscal accountability, and increase executive and legislative support for Youth & Government programs.

b.      Identify and recruit additional non-board members to join the annual fundraising campaign.

c.       Develop and approve an annual fundraising schedule that reflects program needs, board/committee responsibility, and target donors.

d.      Develop a comprehensive plan to identify and cultivate major donors to the annual campaign.
